I didn't speak up about extract_char() because I rewrote any and all functions that have to do with quitting/renting/camping from scratch. My extract_char() still does the same job, but I know that I have made some changes to it. With that in mind, I don't know how changing that one will affect stock rent/quit code, and I don't have the time to recode stock code to see how that particular change will affect stock code.
