'lo all, I'm afraid I have a bit of a problem here. I downloaded bpl14, haven't made many changes(I made 50 mortal levels, 5 immortal), and poked around a bit in the other files(Not making any changes I was aware of). However, whenever a mortal character attacks a mob, anytime the mob is supposed to be attacking them, it makes them suffering, and every now and then, it'll say: Suffer miss victim - should never see and to the room it will say: Suffer miss room - should never see. Here's what it says in the mortals screen: 22H 100M 84V > You lie on the ground suffering from bleeding wounds... That really did HURT! You tickle Newbie Nanite as you hit it. 13H 100M 84V > Suffer miss victim - should never see. Newbie Nanite ducks under your fist as you try to hit it. 7H 100M 84V > You lie on the ground suffering from bleeding wounds... You tickle Newbie Nanite as you hit it. 3H 100M 84V > You lie on the ground suffering from your terrible wounds... You swing your fist at Newbie Nanite, but miss it! ... and the viewers screen: Newbie Nanite ducks under Grathol's fist as he takes a swing at it. 500H 100M 82V > Grathol lies immobile on the ground, suffering... Grathol tickles Newbie Nanite as he hits it. 500H 100M 82V > Suffer miss room - should never see. Newbie Nanite ducks under Grathol's fist as he takes a swing at it. 500H 100M 82V > Grathol lies immobile on the ground, suffering... Grathol tickles Newbie Nanite as he hits it. 500H 100M 82V > Grathol lies helplessly on the ground and suffers... Newbie Nanite barely avoids a blow from Grathol! As I don't know where it calls up this message in the source, I don't know what code snips to post, but if anyone has any clues as to why this happens, I'd greatly appreciate it... I compiled it with MSVC++ 5.0 with 0 errors and 0 warnings if any o' that helps :) Thanks in advance! |Phillip Ames | Treat friends in debt like family.| |kirk47@juno.com | Exploit them. | |http://members.xoom.com/Gowron/index.html | _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
