128bitvector

As a newbie, I am wondering how important it is to change the mud to use
128bitvector. Since I understand that this would require changes to all the
world files, and I just started coding the mud, is it a good idea to do this
now?

Also, since it affect the format of the world files, what kind of changes
have to be made to OasisOLC codes?
