you should probably add something to hit(), such as if (your_condition_here) { stop_fighting(everybody_concerned); send_to_chars(knock_it_off_message); return; } you may also want to look at the spell casting routines for the offensive, damage causeing spells to prevent their casting. dunno, just a sug. as im not looking at the code.
